damn my curiousity...
I'm trying to think of all the books you don't read... carpet sample books, wallpaper sample books, and matchbooks are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head.

Paint sample books. No one "reads" those either
Phone books. You read about a millionth of them, but that ain't much.
