There was a record show in London today. I got in to the city too early, so I decided to park downtown to save money on parking. After picking up a coffee on Richmond Row, I sat and waited in Victoria Park watching the line up expand with mostly middle aged men at Centennial Hall for the show. On the floor, I think Cheeky Monkey from Sarnia were the only ones selling just new and non-pirated stuff. Anyways, this is what I picked up:
Sloan - Navy Blues
R.E.M. - Automatic for the People
Brian Eno & David Byrne - My Life in the Bush of Ghosts
The Smiths - Meat is Murder
Michael Jackson - Off the Wall
The Soundtrack to Eraserhead
I also stopped at Grooves while I was downtown and picked up the following:
Underworld - Crocodile
Flight of the Conchords - I Told You I Was Freaky
If I buy records like used to buy comics, I think my vinyl collection could be on par with my comics in a few years.
