i just got a record player here in gatineau ... looks reeeallly ugly on the outside but on the inside, is all plush, blue velvet-like material (really new looking too). its from the 'Symphonic' company and looks like its from the 1970s. but the hinges on the box look older and read 'Cheney England.'
works perfectly.
Oh, and i am wondering what video game consoles you've got... I am getting into the older ones (I used to have a Colecovision and an Atari 2600). Check out this youtube clip tribute to the Vectrex video game system (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8eZOJr5rs4). i love the aesthetics and i am going to use them for a thing i'm working on (i'll tell you in person about it).
