mmm... toast...

Yesterday, I had breakfast in Thetford at a diner/bakery.
The eggs were ok.
The home fries were edible.
The bacon was inhaled as usual so I can't give a proper critque.
The bread for the toast was made on the premises.
This was good toast.
Damn good toast.
All that and coffee costed a little over five dollars.
I have to go back.

living with crap...

I live at an appartment complex in the south end of London, Ontario. I see a lot of people walk dogs. No one here picks up the "shake" poop from their dogs. You know, they will pick up the large turd but not the tiny one after the dog makes the large one.

I walk on the sidewalk for now on.

Sluggish and Disoriented...

I got a new hard drive for my computer, but I still haven't heard word about what happen to my old hard drive. The new hard drive gives off the same feel as that Starman comic where Jack Knight was vaporized by some alien raygun, then suddenly got most of his body back from Rannian medicine and technology (if you read the comic you would understand), but he lost all his tattoos as a result of this resurrection. I no longer have firefox or any adobe programs on my macbook for the time being, and none of the documents and songs I've saved in the past ten years which is really freaking me out.

I finally got online at my new place (in a short timeframe, I've moved from the family farm to "Thug Oaks" and working on a TV show as a Production Assistant that's being shot in the Forest City since early August), but it's like I'm being rationed internet time. I have to unplug the TV cable in order to work on the internet, and when I'm on the internet, it seems I'm stuck behind a sunday driver on a curvy county road. Hell, let's just say country DSL moves quicker than city cable.

I have not looked at porn (hard or soft) for over two weeks and it feels refreshing oddly enough.
When I visit my parents when to do laundry, I can't stand being in my old bedroom (9x9, and fully cluttered).
I'm catching up on things I would get done on the farm, but not at the speed I'm doing them here like reading the backlog of comics I've purchased but haven't read.
I've lost weight since moving away from the family farm.

It seems like I needed this.

Anne Frank is not humourous

When I read this on the Comic Reporter, I thought to myself, that I don't think I ever heard an Anne Frank joke in my life... and I think that's a good thing.

I'd take a picture but...

I have no digital camera. The last pictures I took with it was a nest of mice in the riding lawnmower. I have things to take pictures of and put online like tomy robots and some bottles of soda I plan to drink in the coming weeks. I still have my cameraphone but it's a cameraphone which is self explanatory.

Michael Jackson...

Is it just me, or does the zombie version of Michael Jackson in "Thriller" from 1983 look a lot healthier than the Michael Jackson of today?

(shudder)...

There's bad, there's that bad that alcohol can't recover it, and then there's Marmaduke bad. I purchased "Voyagers! The Complete Series" and its on par with Marmaduke bad, just like T.J. Hooker.

One less itch to stratch

After seeing this article about Phonogram from Image Comics, I can finally make that stupid comment of "that's where they got that idea for that cover" because the second and the last issue covers were actually bugging me on where they came from.

a question dumber than the first one...

The plural form of goose is geese, yet the plural form of mongoose is mongooses and the plural form of moose is moose. Why isn't it mongeese and meese?

Friday, June 08, 2007

I know this is a odd question, but...

Who decided to name the species?

A deer is a mammal and a goose is a bird but, a killdeer is a bird and a mongoose is a mammal.

reading, working, watching...

Being in a tractor for about a couple hours can really throw your sense of time. The repetition of going back and forth in a field puts you into trance. And after the work is done, the ability to take a quick nap goes out the door realizing that two hours have gone by.

Right now, I'm trying to catch up on the Comic Book "DMZ" as one of comic book stores in the Forest City had all the back issues except the first one which can be easily found online.

Tomorrow, more of the same....

The Tuesday Numbers

On my myspace blog, I've been posting a number every tuesday for the past two months. I have had the occasional comment on that site, but no one asks why.

I enjoy that for some reason.

Now I'm putting up three numbers.

I saw a rat under the hood of my car...

there's really not much to say, other than the rat being freaked out that I found it's hiding spot somewhere around the engine. It just makes me curious on how my car when run in the coming days.

It's in Keyser...

Yesterday, I drove by the Kerwood Wildfile Education Center over near Keyser, which has been making the news recently, and I know what has happen there is horrible. The thing that irks me is that Keyser is never mention in any of the news reports I've seen and heard. Strathroy, Arkona, Kerwood, and even London were mention, but never Keyser.

To me, saying that this event occurred near somewhere other than the place it's closest to is like some people who are from Mississauga who say they're from Toronto.

The Availability of Molson Stock Ale...

I can not purchase Molson Stock Ale at my local beer store.
I have to drive all the way to the forest city (or the chemical valley) just to pick up a two-four.
That blows.

What's going on!?...

Well, I did this a few weeks back.

Currently, I'm reading tons of comic books I purchased awhile back but haven't read yet.

The search for Scrabble tiles is on hold until better weather comes.

I'm considering on buying a ceiling fan for air circulation as the bedroom is giving a new smell. I really don't know what the smell is. Seriously.

Retro Cool Packaging...

I purchased some old lego for five bucks.
Retro Lego
I bought this solely for the packaging not the lego, but I will separate the lego from the packaging.

scrabble table progress...

This close to a thousand scrabble tiles.
Bag-o-Scrabble Tiles
I purchased another five scrabble board games at a location in Thedford, Ontario on Saturday (the name of the antique place escapes me at the moment). I paid five bucks a game, however, I did drop the price by a dollar, and with the price of a new game at the stores, I'm not spending twenty dollars. I was kind enough to leave one scrabble boardgame at the place since I didn't want to drain their stock, and I know they will get more scrabble games in the coming months. I think it will a few weeks until I go find more scrabble boardgames again, as I'm trying to conserve my funds for other side projects and other knick knacks.

Work in Progress...

saw
When you see a cool idea, steal it and do a half ass attempt at it. When I saw this, I thought to myself I want to make one too. I don't know how long I will take making this, but I'm thinking of making end tables too.

work in progress

They're not glued together, I used my dad's coffee table as a guideline to see how large I want to go with the table. At the moment, I've only spent about four dollars on scrabble tiles, but I know I will have to spend a lot more money in the coming months.

The Second Kickass Find of 2007

The second kickass score of 2007
I'm on my game for the past few days. In October, I didn't feel like myself because I wasn't going off the farms that much. Now, I've got my "HELL YEAH!" Meter cranked to eleven.

House cleaning....

Okay, I've removed a door on the main floor of the old spooky house as the house was settling to the point where the door would no longer shut properly. I am seriously considering of buying a hacksaw to remove the some of the radiators from the main floor, but I'm probably will talk to some of my friends that are better at radiator preservation to see if some other tool is a better course than a hacksaw. Anyways, I think I should purchase some heavy duty garbage bags for various house garbage before I take out the radiators.
